Superman Returns!

By now we all have heard the exciting news. Henry Cavil, star of the 2013 Man of Steel has returned to the DCEU and will once again don the cape. Rumors were swirling back in 2018 as many outlets including The Hollywood Reporter was reporting that DC had fired Cavil and he will no longer play Superman. This news was further sparked when a talk of a cameo appearance in 2018 Shazam broker down, as Cavil allegedly had “schedule conflicts.” A source said that this had made WB angry as they felt they were already shafted by Paramount when they refuse to let Cavil shave his mustache when he returned for re-shoots for Justice League. This was the last straw for WB. The rumor was, that Cavil’s manager Dany Garcia allegedly pulled the plug on his cameo which she was also an executive producer on. No real explanation was given, just that he was “unavailable.” After this, the rumors were flying around that WB were getting rid of Cavil. Then the reports came. Low and behold 2 years later after an online screening of Man of Steel, and an equally exciting announcement of the coveted “Snyder cut” of the Justice League film, Reports of Cavil coming back have now emerged. It is not known of all the details; however, he will be back for at least some cameo roles in other DCEU films and likely for a much-anticipated Man of Steel sequel. Don’t think that WB all of a sudden had a change of heart, this decision comes after the highly publicized acquisition of WB by communications giant AT&T. The new HBO max deal will become the home for the Justice League Snyder Cut, as well as future DC film universe properties. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Cavil who in my opinion is the Best superman since Reeve.
